Zebra’s Crossings

Let’s not move on

Let’s halt, let’s wait

We cannot stop

We should, we must not

We hate

Thousands are dead

Thousands will soon be

On the crossing where he hides

Pulled in by the neck

Thousands like me

Let’s not move on

Let’s halt, let’s wait

We can stop

We should, would not

We won’t change ways

Thousands are dead

Thousands will soon be

On this crossing of fate

Dragged between the wheels

Thousands like me

Rippling water, painful death

Pale green killer, gnashing jaws

In the world where exist no laws

Concrete roads, painful death

Bright green killer, Trade of fools

In the world where seldom followed are rules

Running from the splashes

From my frightened hooves

Like doubt runs down my veins

To appear after me those eyes

Embedded on his deadly grooves

Oh so dull, so faint

Running with the taps

Of my impatient boots

Like doubt runs down my veins

To confront that toxic light

Flashing on that deadly route

Oh so bright, so faint

Why is it that life’s so subtle?

Why does it change so much?

Why?

We all

We all wish to be safe

From the fear of losing

Our life, Protect us with laws

If they don’t work,

At least by Zebra crossing.

Road accidents are pretty common these days. And you know what’s uncommon, People following traffic rules. Rules which are created to keep harmony, no longer matter to some. And when they do … Its just to prevent fining and losing cash. So as Ignorance and defiance prevail, roads become fatal.

One the other hand, in a world where are no such rules, life is fatal by default. The citizens of that world have no choice but to live surrounded with nothing but doubt.
